The Advisory Council for the Cornell Institute of Food Science serves as an external advisory group to the co-Directors, faculty and students of the Institute. Members are asked for counsel and advice concerning programs in teaching, research and extension for the Institute of Food Science. The Council represents the variety of stakeholders with whom the Institute, through its programs, interact. It serves as a two-way communication channel providing advice and counsel on those issues which the co-Directors bring to the Council and serving as a mechanism by which concerns from the stakeholders can be brought to the attention of the co-Directors.
