Food science is the application of biological and physical sciences and engineering to food systems. Interest in food science has grown in recent years because of the increasing awareness of the vital role of food in the health, well-being, and economic status of individuals and nations. Professional food scientists ensure that an acceptable, nutritious, safe and appealing selection of foods is available. Fall (August) 2012 Admissions - The application deadline for MS and PhD admission was January 1, 2012. Applications for the MPS degree program will be accepted through May 15, 2012.
Spring (January) 2013 Admission - The 2013 application will be available on August 1, 2012, the deadline to apply to the MPS, MS and PhD programs is September 1, 2012.
