A stipend will be paid to all participants of the Summer Scholar Program.  Accepted applicants may choose one of two payment options:

Option 1
Scholars choosing this option will receive housing (see details below) and a $2,500* stipend.  A meal plan is not included.

Option 2
Scholars choosing option 2 will receive a $4,000* stipend and will be responsible for finding, reserving, and paying for housing.  A meal plan is not included. 

*Please note: stipend checks may be subject to federal and New York State employment taxes.  A 14% tax may be withheld from each stipend check.  

Housing Details (Option 1)
Aa single dorm room will be reserved for each participant choosing option 1 and will be paid for by the program.  The building the dorm rooms are located in varies from year-to-year, depending on building renovations.  During 2009, the dorms were located on West Campus in the brand new Keeton House (an approximate 15 minute walk to Stocking Hall (home of the Department of Food Science) and a 1 hour commute to Geneva with FREE shuttle service).  Click here to view a campus map.
