The Cornell Chapter of Phi Tau Sigma is accepting applications for the 2007-2008 academic year between February 27 and March 27, 2007.
Phi Tau Sigma (PTS) is the National Food Science Honorary Society with over 30 chapters at major educational institutions across the country.
The Cornell Chapter of PTS seeks to recognize outstanding members of the Cornell Community engaging in the study or practice of food science by inducting them into this exclusive society.
Members have reached at least their Junior year of study and must be in the top half of their academic class (Graduate students and beyond are eligible). Beyond academic performance, members have demonstrated achievements through their activities such as research, professional memberships, internships, food science club activities, teaching, volunteering, or work experience.
The society meets throughout the year, and attendance is mandatory for members inducted Spring 2004 and thereafter. More than two absences without prior communication may result in revocation of your membership. In the event of a revocation, membership fees will not be reimbursed.
